A new state law will require that every Florida business owner obtain a business ID before they can open a new business.
It will go into effect Jan. 1, 2018.
The law, sponsored by Gov.
Rick Scott, was designed to give businesses more security when they’re opening a new store.
It includes an expanded list of requirements, including that the business owner provide proof of insurance, that the establishment will be located in the state and that the owners will be at least 18 years old.
The new requirements apply to businesses with 50 or more employees and businesses that employ more than 20 employees.
